How to Get Brockton Public Records

Massachusetts law under MGL Chapter 66, Section 10 gives anyone the right to request public records from Brockton city offices. The city must respond within 10 business days. To submit a request, email cityclerk@cobma.us or appear in person at City Hall. Describe the record clearly, including the type of document, date range, and any relevant names or case numbers.

The first two hours of staff time are free for requests submitted to Brockton. After that, the rate is capped at $25 per hour. Paper copies cost $0.05 per page.
